Intermediate rock climbing and abseiling on single pitch outdoor crags
Some of the classic Millstone Grit crags of the Eastern Edges are used, for example, Stanage, Burbage.
The session will build on your existing experience by developing climbing skills and techniques further through bouldering, safe belay skills, rope management, climbing at contrasting venues, climbing a variety of routes using contrasting techniques, guidebook interpretation skills, have a look at the range of climbing equipment currently available, guidance towards buying your first climbing equipment.
If you have some climbing gear of your own then bring it along, for example, harness, helmet or rock shoes, but if not we can provide all technical equipment. |
